997 Turbo, 58k on clock, major spec inc PCCB, FPSH - black/black - £45k (6 owners) 9mths MOT and 5mths tax left.
Range Rover 4.4 V8 Petrol, 92k on clock, Vogue spec inc Rear Screen Entertainment, FLRSH - Black/sand - £14k (3 owners) 8mths MOT and 5mths tax left.

looking at 458 if the deal is right, 20k to place order, 20k to spec it and the rest of dep what you like, either an August build or early next year delivery. The August slot is a specable car that GP Notts have, but it might be too early for me as I'd rather have it now or wait until early next year and get it then. I am stretching myself, but with 7 years servicing and 4 years warranty I feel it's the best a supercar is going to get. If not probably 430 or 599. I don't know if I would go back to a Lambo but it's also an option.

I will probably just get a merc estate or a newer Rangie for a daily, not sure yet, some great lease deals out there for these mercs.

I had looked at the SLS but the deal they were doing is no longer on offer so that's binned by the looks of it. Shame as I quite liked it too.
 
yeah been looking at 430's too mate, just seen the inside of a 458 and wanted to cut out a kidney right that second for an ebay auction!! lol

I think it's taken the next step in interior and I think the 430 double lights at the back is less attractive to me that say a 360. All personal preference obviously and don't mean to make it sound like I'm slating the 430 as it's an amazing car, it's just some of the styling I think has made the leap in the 458 that all.

It's the warranty and servicing that's also appealing in the 458 deal.

It might well be out of my budget dependent on the daily driver.
 
Of course there is no such thing as a free lunch!

One might get 7 years free servicing years with a 458 + 4 years warranty, but pay £105K for a 991 Cab + another £10K or so for the servicing and you will still have some change.

About £100K change! [:D]

However, my biggest worry is the £30K depreciation in the first year of 991 ownership [:mad:]

That puts servicing and warranty cost rather in the shade.

Makes it very simple to see the real cost to change.

Whats the Cajun to be like or is it Macun? I read in Porsche Post this month it's called the Cajun but who knows if thats was just a joke or not. Sounds a bit spicey!! <sorry I'll get ma coat>

Porsche have published the official name.... Macan! It is based on the Audi Q3. Don't believe what you read that it is based on the Q5, that, like the name Cajun, is just a spoof. Anyway, the Q5 is too close to Cayenne and the Q3 is far more sporty.

Don't expect to see one this year!
