Hi

For pascha front seats incl rearseats and doorcards you need 3 meters by a with of 1.40 meters - just the frontseats you need 1.5 meters by 1.40mtr.

May I ask where you getting the Fabric from?

I'm only doing the front seats so 2sqm will do the job then
The door cards are leatherette and rear seats just need a clean

Classic car solutions in Germany have quoted me €78 per sq meterplus shipping of €24
Stizklink also a German company have quoted €78 per sq meter plus €19 shipping
But I'm also waiting for a reply from this company

There's also another company in New Zealand that does it but I'm sure the shipping will be pretty expensive from there

I can get the fabrics as well - have a look in the sales section - or search by my name I posted a trhead not long ago - I can check for a quote for you - the shippment comes from Germany

Yes mate Iv seen it and commented on it could you get me a quote on enough for two front seats I'd be very grateful

I dont believe that the usual rule of thumb applies to this material, because the pattern is not a simple repetition. If it was pinstripe then Id agree, but because a particular part of the pattern needs to be in a certain place and because its coming 'off the roll' without you having any control where in the pattern the cut is (with you simply being sold 'what you get'), I believe that you will need to buy a larger amount.

I cant tell you how much though, and without having a roll in front of me to guesstimate I cant help any further beyond this.

Ash, theres quite a leap between realising that you need more and being able to accurately estimate your requirement. Id suggest getting a good picture of the material unrolled and the seats showing the pattern placement, and email a decent trimmer.

Vaughn or Gary Hubbard (both in Loughborough) know Porsches and should be able to give you an accurate price.

nice seats - bear in mind the fabric may be 30 years old and the fabric will be tired and start ripping on the seems and a restorer might not be able to work with the old fabric .... just saying

Frank

Think it's worth ago seeing as material and shipping will come to more than I'm buying the seats for and my old dried out seats will come in very handy as a couple of gaming chàirs for the man cave

Ill keep you posted on how they are thanks for your help everyone

Yes, especially with early style seats. The material has gone when the seams part and it can seldom be repaired. Series two seats have a fold to relieve the pressure on the seam.

My nice refreshed seats just need a clean and original runners replaced and jobs a good un

Looks good I think

Sorry to hijack this thread but with all this talk of seat refurb, I'm after getting my passenger seat sorted out.

It has two splits in the seat base leather (odd as the car has not been used for a few weeks and when I came to get in it the other day I noticed the seat was split, I'm sure it wasn't like that when I left it!).

So my question is can anyone recommend a company in South Yorks who can sort this? or a place I can buy as good as original leather?
BTW the seats are full black leather comfort seats.

I can recommend a couple of people who I know are experienced and who know the seats. Theyre both in Loighborough, though. If the splits are superficial then Nick Edmonson here can refinih them.

I've spoken to Nick before about the seats and seen what great work he can do, but I think they have gone way past a dye and polish!

When I say split, it's not just cracked leather its gone right through!
It's the passenger seat so I was going to blame it on our lass but to be fair she doesn't weigh much (hope she doesn't read this) and I don't think she has sat in the '44 for months!

I know of a couple of furniture upholsteries near me but will need to ask if they can do car seats and leather. My worry is I think the whole of the leather will need replacing, but where to get the leather and where will have as good quality? Even new Porsche cars don't have leather as good as the old ones.
