S2 to try near(ish) to Bristol? Please? :)

Hi all

Still debating with myself over my upgrade path. (S2 / 968 / turbo / other). I've managed to test drive a modified turbo (thanks David!) but have yet to be able to get my hands on a 968 or 944 S2. I don't seem to have much free time at the moment (especially at weekends), so I was wondering if any kind soul (ideally near Bristol) would be prepared to let me have a ride in (and ideally a drive of!) their S2? Happy to take you for a pint afterwards, and talk about 944s!

Many (hopeful) thanks in advance.

Giles

Giles,

I'm not near Bristol currently but in Cornwall visiting parents, I live in London and could make a short detour on the way home as I often go back via M5/M4. Will be heading home on the 10th if that's of any help...

My car is a good example of a well sorted S2, generally I dont let others drive the car due to insurance issues but your welcome to come along for a 'spirited' ride.

Thank you Edd, that's kind. No problem at all about my having a ride rather than a drive. It looks like your car is modified a bit beyond the average, and presumably performs / handles better than a standard S2?

The evening of the 10th would work for me - I will be at work until around 6pm, though I could probably pop out for a bit around lunchtime. What sort of time were you thinking of heading this way?

Cheers,

Giles

Evening time suits me fine, gives me time to pack and have lunch before heading off. Aim for 7pm ish? The car has been tastefully modified yes, biggest difference being the kwv3 suspension, which transforms it from a good handling car to a great one. The promax chip makes a small but appreciated difference to the engine but I doubt you would really notice the difference unless done to your own car.
