Precisely as Simon said.

I didn't think my opinion of that large Scottish motor sales company could be lowered any more until I saw that "ad". Then it slipped even further ...

Did they mention that they had spammed up a tatty car in their original advert, do you think?

simon,,they trader up in loch lomond seems "a piece of work",,why does his cars always seems to come with a story?? an advert seems like a novel ,mostly filled with half truths and rubbish,,out of control ego maybe, regards jason p

I agree. I wonder whether they tried to buy it for £2,000 and were told where to go?

Id avoid Buchanan like a turd on the pavement.

It did sound remarkably like it. In which case it's surely possible that the guy who bought it off them never knew this 'cos they did such a good job! [;)]

the adverts have gone what did the 2nd add say about it?
it looked nice in the first ad, rare colour and low mileage (price was a bit over the top maybe)

dont know where the posts have gone but if you get a minute rallycross,,try and read the above traders thread on pistonheads i believe, where he gives us all a in depth lesson lol on how to polish a turd and earn lots and lots of money trading cars lol,,guys ego is well out of control, sorry i cant post the link but worth tracking down if only for a laugh and the guys audacity,,cheers jason p

i think he made reference to the fact that he can easily make £10k a week trading cars which he never could as a PAYE employee.

in essence he was trying to say it was a scam ad and they had nothing to do with it but tbh....it just looked like the new owner was recycling the Buchanan photos which tbh is one thing they do seem to do well.

andrew,,got to agree,he bangs his adverts out with good photos,,i just realized i was asking about your 964 the other day and see you have a 930 in yellow,,hats off to your mate,a beautiful model in a colour i love,,nice one andrew,,really hope your enjoying her,,regards jason p

I seem to remember someone in the south selling an S2 they had purchased from Buchanan. They trailered it back as an electrical fault non runner. Turns out that it started easily enough but the bottom end was shot!! Not described in the ad as such!

Paul190 - yup I know the car well - a blue one - I bought it for a friend in Germany - cheapish - well aware the bottom end was gone - the car passed my house on a trailer in the back - and OMG it was rubbish - the previous seller bought it of them.
