RS Production numbers/colours

964rsdatabase

Hi.

Does anybody have figures detailing the breakdown of paint colours used for the entire production run of cars? ie: how many Maritime, how many Black etc? Probably a strange question, but have always wondered!

Thanks for your time

Martin

Not sure that it's a strange question.

It has been asked many times before. Not sure how easy it would be to get the info.

I guess Desmondo would be the man..............He's gone very quiet at the moment.

my guess is stuttgart and Porsche HQ is the only place that has this info. Given the number of cars that must have been sprayed colour to sample like my own the possibilities are endless.
I got the colour for my car at the factory as my data sticker says L998 colour to sample (i have a nice print out of the details). Funny enough even Thomas Schmitz thought that the car was a different colour than it actually is, when I bought the car from him he had it listed as hellgelb or light yellow! I would guess that if the factory has my colour details then a search on there database would reveal all the others.

At our 964 meet in Swindon today I met Tat with his Ferrari Yellow RS - I've not seen an RS in that colour before and it's quite stunning.

Regards

Dave

So, Des, any ideas? Would love to know how many Maritime ones there were. I reckon maybe only 3, same as Mint Green!!

Cheers
Martin
