Just for something different,
My trouble and strife and I, thought we' d go over to Rhayader for lunch on Saturday, do the lakes (3), and then down the track to Cwmystwyth. Then on to Devils Bridge. The bit between lake Craig Goch and Cwmystwyth looks tight? Sounds like fun.
Any one got the Tee-shirt?[:)]
While on the subject; what about a planned outing for the group (3.2)??[:-]

Hi , As the events assistant for the 3.2 register I am trying to get meetings going.

I have so far organised one in Hertfordshire, at JZ machtech on April 5th, to serve the south of england, there will be rolling road runs and a variety of different 3.2s fitted with a range of exhausts and modifications.

I am now talking to Ninemeister for a similar meeting for those North of the watford gap.

Then theres Porsche in the Park May 24th to 26th
Tipec June 22nd
PCGB National August 30-31
we should do something at all of these, though perhaps very informal at Tipec.

Where are you?
I Didnt recognise any of the places you mention, I like the idea of using this forum to arrange meetings and hope you get some responses as its always best if members organise themselves, I see myself as being here to help if needed.

Regards, Simon

Rhayader is in mid wales and is surrounded by some excellent driving roads, too far away from me for a day visit, I have often thought it would make an interesting base for a register weekend.

Hi Simon,
The 964 Register is trying to get more events arranged for North of the Watford Gap. We have recently appointed Mark Roberts, of Cumbria to get things moving in that area. Mark has experience of organizing events with the very successful Lakes and Fells Weekends.

A number of our Register Members will be attending the Tipec event (Walton Hall), an excellent show. Hope to meet up with you there. My photos of last year' s show can be seen in the website below. .

Regards

[:D]Well the weekend trip to Rhayader was a blast, the weather was perfect, light traffic on the roads and no camera' s!.
You can tell when you have entered Wales... the roads are so much better; wider, with better camber, and long straight stretchs, like on the A44.
Rhayader would be a good place for a club meet/drive. Plenty of good B&B' s.
We didn' t get to do the drive down to Devils Bridge- ran out of time, will go back in the summer. Can recommend a B&B. If any one is looking for a drive/weekend, then do yourself a favour.[;)]
The AA magazine, issue spring/summer 2001, listed this drive as No.2 in their list of ten drives around Europe!

The Elan Hotel, Rhayader, PH: 01597 810109 "" OK for Sunday Lunch.

The Black & White Village trail, www.vistorlinks.com

The Horseshoe, B&B, Rhayader, around £40 double.
