PCGB Region 13 Hereford, Worcester & Shropshire
Region 13 Report for 2011 at The Bowling Green.
We held our usual Curborough event this month and again the weather was fine. Enjoyed by all and we raised £180.00 for the Air Ambulance.
Watch for next year, it is a great way to prepare yourself for track days, or just to satisfy your own curiosity with yourself and your car. Nobody else on the track.
The week before our May meeting, the Bowling Green Inn, closed down ! I was able to make an arrangement with the Pear Tree Inn, not far away where we held our show night last year. Whether we shall continue there remains to be seen. At least we are away at Stone Manor next month. There is a notice now at the Bowling Green saying it will open soon for bar service. So watch this space.
I contacted as many of you as I could. If some arrived to find it closed, I am sorry, I did not manage to get a notice there until about 7.50pm.
Nevertheless, the Pear Tree staff looked after us and we had a small area to listen to Stan Radcliffe telling us about his GPS tracking system. A very interesting and informative night as it turned out. The reason I was late posting the notice, was because I had not been able to contact Stan and he rang me from the BW, so I had to go and direct him to the PT ! He and his wife, had driven all the way from Kent and were going back that evening. So great thanks to them and I'm sorry we kept them a bit late. I have some leaflets, if you want to know more, see me next time.
