PCGB Region 13 Hereford, Worcester & Shropshire
June 2010 at The Pear Tree Inn, Smite.
A hot evening, for our show night, combined with Will Gough's contingent of Classic Cars. In all, about one hundred cars came along, delivering some two hundred people to this great night.
Within this, I counted 46 Porsches and these were supported by a myriad of others, Astons, Jaguars, one E type winning the prize for best choice. There were Lotus's, M.G's, Corvettes, Maserati, and many other well known names, to the point where the vast car park we had thought, more than adequate, was overflowing. So well done and thank you to all Porsche friends, most of whom I had chance to talk to and apologise to those I missed.
This month, we had three events, all of which cannot be done justice in one Report, so on the basis that "a picture is worth a thousand words", I have cut the latter and hope the Ed, will allow space for the former.
Our visit to Hereford Aero Club and Pear Tree pictures will be in next month's Report, I hope allowing us more illustration space.
Finally, two rascals I cannot always catch and I found out why. Peter and son David Mould, are always regular visitors and "˜Runners'. Both, winning in the County Athletics Championships. Peter, taking Silver in the veteran men's 100 metres for the fifth consecutive decade that he had won a medal . Peter was runner up in the senior men's 400 ms. Also at Stourport, Peter, taking first in the 100 ms, and setting a new club record in the 400ms. They both own Porsches and clearly, have horsepower "˜ to go'.
John Lord. "Exhausted" !
FORTHCOMING EVENTS.
JULY Meetings last Tuesday in the month at the Bowling Green Inn and thereon.
