Replacing rear bearings, what type bearing puller?

Yes - I did exactly that on my driveway. Several people have had problems with the hub nut but mine was easy with a decent size bar. I didn't use heat on the arm but I did freeze the bearing. You'll need a slide hammer to get the hub off too, I couldn't get it to budge without one. Also check to see if the bearing race has come away on it - that happened to me and I had to use the slide hammer on that in the end too. I can't think of anything else but if I do I'll post it.

Hi all

Looking 2 replace the rear wheel bearing on my 88 turbo. Was looking 2 do it at home by the road side. Was planing on using heat on the arms as I would like 2 keep it in place, and a bearing extrour 2 pull the bearing. Freeze the new bearing the night b4.

I'm hiring the torqure wench, and bearing puller, do I need a 3 finger prong, which is spreaded out inside the bearing then winded out?

Or do I need the type which clamps behind with a threaded bar in the inside?

Is this possabile? And tips and advice great appreciated
