Afternoon all.
My 996 Carrera 4 convertible (2002 model) has today failed the MOT on emissions.
Anyone advise of the best place to source a new exhaust system from please.
Thanks in advance.

Is it definitely faulty exhaust / catalytic converter?

What specific part of the emission test has failed and what did the MOT test centre advise was the likely cause / remedial action?

Had relatives 996 that regularly struggled with emissions test and came down to low use and ageing fuel.

I took it to our local MOT tester who advised low use cars with old fuel are regular emission fails and tells owners to refuel with premium unleaded and go for a long run before testing. We've noticed emission levels are lower with fresh fuel.

The motorcycle ULEZ compliance tester advised the same.

Before you spend out try

Forte Petrol Emission Reducer, you can get it on the internet

Put it in the fuel tank ,probably around 50% of fuel in the tank when adding and go for a drive, or use it until low top up and retest
It worked for me
