Removing the plastic sill trims from a Turbo or S2

Needing to remove the sill trims on a Turbo. I have found that even a good quality 6-pointed 10mm AF socket rounds off the plastic nuts. Just wondering if anyone has come up with a good method of removing these?

TIA,

Tref.

Im sure i used a standard socket on mine. Then again several of mine I could just pull off with my hand []

I don't think the nuts are very expensive(check first!), can be cut with a dremel. I tried to undo one of mine and the stud broke so gave up for now,

Good advise to cut them off Tony, (grind off one side carefully, and remove with pliers) to preserve the body studs.
I had to do this in the past. The replacements don't cost a fortune and some copper-slip on the threads is a good idea so they release next time.

Apologies for the delay replying, any of use has already been said !

It's not the plastic nuts that are the issue, but the studs or 'loops' on the side skirts. As previously said, plastic nuts are cheap and readily available, both new and 2nd hand, priority = preserving the studs welded to the body.
