Remote locking / unlocking not working

Have a read of this - if it's the above problem then fix is new keys.... but there are other things to try
My 2001 C4 had this issue many years ago. After much searching and head scratching, the guys at Autofarm identified an additional mini fuse on the central locking/alarm module under the passenger seat. Apparently not all 996 models had this fused version (?)
Hope this is helpful
Many thanks, it is an intermittent problem and just seems to have got worse to a point you have to use the key to open the door. This could be a long shot, but may be worth checking.

Hello Stephen I looked these guys up and they are only approx 20 min from me so will pop in with my keys and see what can be done as think this would be a good starting point.I personally wouldn’t guess anything, if you look @ Keyfobrepair website they offer no fix no payment. Their charge of £35 is somewhat less than the £350/£400 cost for a replacement key.
thanks again for your help
