Remote central locking inoperative after a few days

Hi all , I've noticed that if I leave my car for more than a few days without any use , the central locking from the key fob will not unlock the doors, so I gain access with the key , cycle the ignition on and off again to switch off the alarm , then the remote central locking from the fob returns to fully operational again , batt voltage all good . Any ideas ?

P.s only had the car a month so I'm not sure if this had been an on going issue .

Our cars go into 'sleep mode' after a few days, you have no problems, use the key in the door lock to 'wake' the car up, then lock / unlock with the fob, saves opening the door and having the alarm go off before you get the key in the ignition !
did you also know that when you lock the car , if you hold the button the windows and sunroof ( if fitted) will close.

Hi ,
Thank you for that I appreciate that , I didn't know that they went into sleep mode , I've been on Mercedes for so long which don't do that , I am aware that some vehicles have convenience closure
but i've never tried that on my car , i'l pop out to the garage and try it .

Hahaha , Oh believe me I have to reply and here's why , I'm the first person to moan about people that own a Mercedes-Benz and don't read the "Operaters manual".

My problem is that sometimes I get complacent , I've been a diagnostic technician for Mercedes for 20 years and I sometimes forget that not all German manufactures use the same functionality .

Yes what a Tw@t I've looked ????
