They were designed around basic -by modern standards - oils, so I would say a reasonable quality mineral or semi synth is whats required. Changed twice a year.
I use 20-50 in the summer and 10-40 in the winter.
Gearbox - again nothing special just quality 80 or similar multigrade.
Plugs - I use the standard Bosch, does vary by model. I dont like the iridium ones as they are more likely to break (not likely but the results on our engines can be horrible!)

A 10w40 semi synth will do, just make sure its ACEA A3/B4 rated (engine manufactures minimum specifications for performance engine oil). People seem to forget Porsche also recommend fully synth oil in the 80's so no reason you cant use it too should you wish...

10W40 will do the job just fine
.
NGKs or Bosch Plugs should do the trick. Regarding the parts I tend to use either the dealer or now FrazerPart. I used to use a local specialist (who was cheaper than ECP and GSF for many bits) but they seemed to have gone purely to car sales now
.
I've not heard of Iridium plugs failing though. If anything, quite a few LPG guys use where they are subjected the harsher conditions than a petrol car.

I'm running mobil super 2000 10w40 and getting good pressure, my personal pref is beru plugs as they were standard factory, air filter and oil filter. I'm not a fan of the k & n oil filters and neither are a lot of people just my 2 cents.

Ye I've used Beru plugs as well when I replaced them.
What have you found witht he K&N oil filter you didn't like? I couldnt find anything negative on them other than some people saying they like them and others just saying they wont use them as they aren't OEM. I've had no issue with it so far and just bought it really for the ease of a socket on the top.
