Recommendations for a Porsche Newbie!

Hi All,

I'm considering either getting my 911 Bodyshell sand / media blasted or chemically dipped, what are peoples thoughts first of all?

Can anyone recommend companies in Essex for me to call and get quotes or maybe visit to check out their work?

Thanks

Rich

Hi Rich,
A pertinent question: what age of 911? I am sure there are quite a few people for your specific model who will know what happens when you sand blast one - that might be better asked on the Register for that car.

Essex is full of specialists for the really early cars and each of them will have a dipper and stripper that they will use. (I can PM you some names of these specialists if that is the case).

Maybe wait for some others to respond though.

Best regards,

Greg

Hi Greg,

Sorry! It's a 1971 Lhd US Import 911T

Any suggestions via DM would be great. I'm very experienced in the VW world but this is my first Porsche and I've not yet had a vehicle dipped or blasted.

Thanks

Rich

Hi Rich - how are you getting on with the restoration? It would be interesting to know costs etc doing this process - I dont think I am quite needing it yet but if I was to take it to concours level it would be a good place to start..
