Recommend roads to drive in the Lancashire area

Anyone got any recommendations for roads to drive in the Lancashire, Yorkshire or North Wales area where I can put the 997 through its paces? I was up Rivington Pike last Saturday, but it's not like I remember it on my sports bike back in the 90s. The cat and fiddle is riddled with cameras. I was looking at the buttertub pass in Yorkshire, never drove that road , anyone got any experience? Can anyone recommend anything for me?

I have no favorites in Lancashire that regularly drive just for the hell of it-I enjoy driving wherever I go but:-
a) Buttertubs Pass is great & can catch you out even at medium speeds -either direction is good.
b)M6-J38 across to the A66 & across to Barnard Castle then northwards across the N Yorkshire moors roads-beware low flying jet fighters.
c)M65 eastwards through Colne then across to Harrogate crossing Blubberhouse Moor .
d)Farther North eastwards M6 J40(Penrith) via Alston to A69 just east of Haydon Bridge & back via the Military Rd ( Roman Rd) to M6 J43-Carlisle(stop at Sally's cafe in Warwick Bridge for great coffee & cakes).
e) Reverse of d)
Sorry no detailed itineries with Road nos -there are loads of other routes including all of the Forest of Bowland(Trough of Bowland) for example.
North Wales:plenty of routes driving West -West South West from Mold or Denbigh across the Moors to the A5 including the EVO Triangle but beware unmarked plod!-then beyond onwards towards Harlech.
 
Buttertubs is spectacular. You can make many fabulous loop drives all around that area. North to Tan Hill then east to Reeth is a lot of fun, as is the Hawes to Ribblehead road (B6255). But don’t tell everyone, it’s nice and quiet most of the time [:D]
