Rear suspension height adjustment - recommended specialists

My S2 is definitely sitting a little low at the rear and I'm trying to decide what the best course of action is, viz:

i) Spend a weekend (or two) manhandling the torsion bar tube and associated bits off the car and setting it up myself, or;

ii) Paying someone who really knows what they're doing to do it for me.

I would like the car set back to its standard ride height.

Can anyone with experience of the various Porsche specialists around recommend who I might go to if option ii) is selected?

Find a local tyre & exhaust place that offers four-wheel laser alignment & ask them to check the tracking & mention your concern. Some places offer to check for free or a small charge. Your car will be in the computers' database so that part is easy.

If work needs to be done then take it to a specialist to be done. I recommend Promax (www.promax.com), they re-indexed my torsion bars (and set up the rest of my suspension) & will give you good advice on how to proceed without spending more than you have to.

Depending on how low your car is sitting you may find that the adjustment can be done on the 'plates' ie without touching the torsion bars. There's ~ 1 inch of adjustment in these plates on an S2 as I had my S2 lowering by an inch at the back to match the front which I lowered with custom made springs.

If its any help I thought they were often set up to be a bit lower at the back.
I had my geometry done when I changed my suspension (stock, like for like) and the car is till lower at the back but all the parameters are now within their tolerances.
One or two pics we have had recently also show the cars (various models) to sit low at the back.
I don't really like how it looks but it drives fine.

Agreed that I need to do a positive check of the ride height against factory specifications, but I am pretty sure it's low - certainly lower than a few years ago (I've had this car for almost 12 years now).

Fit 968 Clubsport springs to the front, they are 20mm shorter and will level it up with the back nicely []

I assume this is for cars at stock height Paul? I am currently debating on what springs to go for and was planning on keeping the originals. Dampers are a harder choice IMO. Deciding between Bilstein B6s, Koni Sports, Sachs stock, and maybe Gaz Golds (but these may be extreme for a road car). Car is standard bar the 17" Boxster wheels.
