Rear Spoiler

Just had a look at the Zeintec page. I can take or leave the spoiler, but the hardtop looks interesting. Ok, it is plastic and twice the price you'd pay for a factory ali one on ebay... but it does make the Boxster look like a Cayman! Not that I'll be investing. The concern for me (apart from general build quality and how the hatch-back syncs up with the boot lid (or is that removed?) would be the phrase "remove or replace in less than 45mins"... as opposed to about 2 mins for a normal hard top which you can do on your own (just).

Personally I quite like the spoiler - it's the most inderstated mod I've seen, as far as spoilers go. Has anyone got a side-on pictures of one fitted ?
 
The light on the dash indicates it is faulty, not whether it is up or not. Have you tried the button on the fuse cover down by your feet. Press this in to see if it deploys the spoiler (when stationary) this is a good indicator as to whether it is working or not.
 
Not sure if you have already tried this, but with the ignition on, you can raise or lower the spoiler by pressing the button on the dash.

As others have said Terence, check the fuse and try manual spoiler deployment.

If that doesn't work it's probably either a faulty spoiler motor or its control module. A diagnostic check should help to isolate the cause of the fault.
