Rear shocks after '85?

Anyone know what the difference is with the rear shocks after '85?

I have got some second-hand ones on the back of my 2.7-1989 (while I decide
what I'm going to do suspension-wise) which I think came from an earlier car.

Have looked at pics and info on various kits,
but most seem to only go up to 85, or be for 944s2 or 968.

924S and early 944 use the same bolts on the rear shocks. As far as I know, It's only the 924 2 litre that uses smaller bolts. I suspect the difference between pre and post 85 is damping rates.
