Anyone no how much lift or drop you get per outer spline on the spring plates. I am going to lift mine as it's a bit low. I just want to know to save me the bother of lifting too much or not enough.

You can get about an inch just from the eccentric adjusters.

If that's sufficient then it's far easier.

I can email you a re-indexing guide. It explains exactly how the inner and outer splines work in conjunction and how to to adjust them to obtain the adjustment that you require.

You will need a 36mm and a 24mm spanner if adjusting off eccentric bolts.

Buy the spanners off e bay second hand as the bigger one can be around £40 new and the flatter the ring spanner the better.

I am not going to get enough from the eccentric bolt. I've tried it. I use different technique to adjust the eccentrics. I can lift or drop the car on these in about 10 mins. I've indexed loads and loads of VW back ends over the years. The Porsche is just a more adjustable version of the VW 1303 back end.The reason I need to re index is that I put the back end together when the car was stripped and it sat just fine but now its all back together and weighs a lot more the back end is way too low. So I am trying to decide if I need to go up 1 or 2 splines. On a VW you get roughly 2 inches of drop or rise for each outer spline and I was trying to establish if the Porsche would be the same ish.

Simon I'll Pm you with my e-mail address. Thanks

Mine was a PITA. I reckon you might find you will end up moving it on the inner splines as well.
