Yeaaaah about that! I loved the lightweight 911 with modern 3.6 engine but I want one reliable, built properly. Really I just want this but cant afford it: http://www.singervehicledesign.com/ So being that I already have a really nice 911 that I know is reliable and can't seem to sell.. I figure my best option would probably be to tweak that to my desires instead. Theirfore to reach 'the next level' I will be needing POWER. p.s. cheers Mark, good luck with season 2ORIGINAL: Suffolk944 So much for not chasing BHP anymore [] Good luck with the sale (again)

and Jim I'm sorry it's on WUF at the minute. If I manage to get a replacement before the car sells I'll give it to you for postage. Regards, Ben

I know. It puts it into proportion when the hybrid turbos I want for the 996 are 12k fitted! Awesome car though. That should put me in the 10sec 1/4mile bracket and although 1/4 mile runs are not something I'll be doing with the car. I've spent enough days at my local Santapod to know that anything running in the 10's is SERIOUSLY quick! - still doesn't have cup holders though!! Have they finally sorted that on the 997?ORIGINAL: Frenchy Cheers Ben, Going to Silverstone Classic ? let me know, good luck with the sale a serious bit of kit for 10k especialy after making it beautiful with paint !! 996 Turbos are the biz in any form for me, a friend has just bought a red one with the X50 Kit...............BIG YUM !

It does! A drive through is useful on a long drive, nowhere to put your cup is really very annoying! Service stations too. Years of Porsche driving = years of being burn't and swearing as boiling hot coffie burns your thighs whilst exiting up sliproads. It was annoying in the 944 and 20 design years later it's still annoying in the 996! Hmmm if it was on later 996 cars I wonder if it can be retrofitted?ORIGINAL: DavidLDidn't the gen 2 996T have cup holders? post 03 or so. Good choice of garage. What they lack in time keeping they make up for in quality and knowledge. You'll be very happy with the result [ORIGINAL: Ewan Oh well. But at least all this work will keep JM Garage in Dorset in beers for a while!
