Ran my 73T 911 at Shelsley Walsh last weekend, first time for over 20 years. What a weekend!

It was SO SLOW! managed a 38 so 3 secs off the best the car did in 2003 but on fresh Kumho V70 soft tyres and an engine about 30K miles younger, oh, and a driver 20 years younger too...and a bit scared of damaging the car, would break my heart after 37 years of ownership.
Felt so lethargic and heavy, the engine note barely changed going up the steepest part of the hill.
The tyres now are 11 year old Dunlop Blu sports and rock hard, not ideal.
Having said all that it was a real weekend of nostalgia with a fab atmosphere heaving with like minded people.
Found all my old bits for hillclimb preparation in the loft, so the car was 'race-ready' in 1 hour! Good to keep some things, you never know.
I hope to do it again next year if I can get an entry. Talk about a cat that keeps on giving.
