Radio gone on blink

Had a PSE fitted and at the same time had a CD Changer fitted.

Went to change over disc today everything stoped.

The Porsche lgon can on and just stayed on. No sound nothing.

Anybody have any ideas ?

Having the same problems with my '04 996 C2 Cab, but only when the temp is around or below freezing. Find that by turning the radio on and off a couple of times helps things out somewhat and everything is back to normal but will be having it checked out under warranty sometime soon........

Update

Battery gone flat and Porsche assis coming out.

Looks like a good one []
Should have just put the PSE on and left the CD changer, but live for today.

This may be a red herring and nothing to do with your problem, but you might find this interesting nontheless. [8|]

I have had a few radio problems (changed under warranty along with multiple amplifiers). I eventually came to the conclusion this was affected by my mobile phone, which I used to keep on the handy shelf below the radio. I have not had a problem since I kept in in the cubby under the armrest...[]

The 2004 model onwards has fibre optic cables instead of leads to connect up the stereo bits. A mate with the earlier model year has had no issues.

Oh, my door entry Cotag had the same effect! The radio would come on but no sound.... it would usually reset after locking and unlocking the car, unless I had really fried it. []

Not sure if this helps, as I suspect your car has a MOST or whatever Becker head, I had the earlier model and it was doing what you describe regularly. There is a system of re-setting the radio/CD head using the fascia buttons and your OPC should be able to do that. Alternatively you can isolate the main power fuse to the radio (but leave the smaller permanent supply connected) and it will reset itself. It became such a regular thing that I didn't need to even look up the fuse location eventually!

Its not the MOST system , but the normal one (cdc22 I think) Car is back and ok.

Not sure how to re set the system, but any advice would be ace.

Just waiting to see if it goes pete tong again [] or just a bad installtion from the OPC.
