It is really good and I prefer the GPS warnings.... it has been very accurate so far. I am looking to hardwire it to the car and will keep the other thread up to date so that you can track my progress and satisfaction there.
the joy of GPS is that it informs you of SPECS cameras as well and you can also download schools into the Database so that you can become a really safe driver - I think that's more the point rather than just avoiding a ticket.

I use the Valentine One, and the Snooper laser diffuser, with excellent results.
The new Snooper S4 neo is a great bit of kit, but if your speed is in three figures it could leave you short on range.
Proactive detection is the only way to go; GPS on its own is a waste of time and money.
Check the bands that any GPS system has to offer very carefully.
This could happen, sunny day dual carriage way clear, right foot down, oh no mobile enforcement revenue collection unit ahead. Not on the GPS! Nicked!

Paul, I don't understand what you mean by this - please would you explain. I have a Road Angel - what else would you suggest. Thanks.

Something that DETECTS the mobile laser unit - rather than fixed cameras (which may or may not actually contain a camera).
The GPS systems without laser add on (or preferably a Valentine 1) will only warn of possible fixed locations, and is useless unless someone else has notified the company of any new camera, and the information is then added to the database and then downloaded by the end user. This can potentially take a while...
A detector will warn of any gatso (new or otherwise) and tell you if you have been hit (or hit by scatter from another vehicle) by laser.
The only thing I don't seem to detect is Truvelo (forward facing cameras). Any one know howw these work?

I have a Morpheous ( an early type ) which seems to down load all the new cameras are very soon after if not immediate. I used to have a conventional detector which was constantly being triggered by anything incuding traffic lights and consequently I never ended up taking it seriously as the bleeping was virtually continuous. Does anyone know whether they have been refined.
I have no false alarms with the Morpheous.

Am I right and if so, does this mean that the best option is to get a diffuser?
Yes, and Yes!
Although if you are not wildly over the limit, and you slow down after the first "hit", maybe they will decide you realised you had mistakenly sped-up, and are slowing to the right speed[

I have a Road angle with Laser sensor and it works a treat. I used to have a Bell STI europa and found the range to be quite poor and the thing was always going mad for no apparent reason.
