Racetex interior cleaning

Hi all
I've got extended racetex interior in my GT4 and looking for any experience or advice when it comes to cleaning it.
In particular the steering wheel, it's got a yellow 12 o'clock stripe but its some what dulled and a bit grubby looking (i'm blaming the previous owner...).
Anyone got any techniques for getting the best cleaning results? Just concious I dont want to mess it up!

Thanks :)

The steering wheel and gear knob are dead easy to clean up to "as new". I use a mild soapy solution e.g. liquid hand soap in warm water and a microfibre cloth to get all the dirt and oils out of the material. Use a dry microfibre cloth to remove the excess liquid then something non-abrasive like an old toothbrush to restore the pile and then let everything air dry. Job done.

Race-Tex and Alcantara are designed to be hard wearing materials and they can be restored to factory fresh condition with a regular clean :)

Thanks for this, that doesn’t sound too bad at all.

Toothbrush idea sounds good, sort of lightly scuff it to bring it back from being a bit flat. Appreciate the advice, will give it a go
