RABY CASTLE 2006, CARS NEEDED!!!

The 30th of July is not far away and so far I have nobody wishing to enter the Concours/show and shine at Raby Castle, there must be some of you out there who are not travelling south on this date to the TIPEC annual show. Come on folks don't let me down, I will be perfect for you if you have not entered before, it wont be one of these really serious affairs, just clean your car and bring it down, there will be some excellent prizes to be awarded.

I also need cars for a "Porsche through the ages" display, anything from a 356 to a Cayman, don't worry about its condition just get in touch.

Cheers

Nick... Matthew and I would have loved to have been there with our 964 but we're booked up for the Silverstone Classic Weekend which covers that entire weekend. We made those reservations back in January.

I hope you get the support that your efforts so clearly deserve.

Nick,
I passed Raby Castle the other day and thought 'Looks a good setting' so if you want a 1984 944 Lux (sapphire) or a 1990 964 Coupe (slate grey) then let me know. Either could do a good run.
What sort of times are we looking at, start and finish. I'm looking at a two hour drive each way so need to know what time I would have to set off, not too bothered about time for getting home.
Cheers,

Cheers Fred, either car would be great which ever you feel is the best to display. In the morning the gates open around 11am but for show cars any time after 9am would be good.

Thanks again

Nick

It means an early start unless I go to the campsite at Barnard Castle. That will be favourite. Will let you know in plenty of time which car. Mind you I haven't been camping in the 964 so that'll probably be the one.
Last time I camped at Barnard Castle was when I was going to Croft for the day, felt a bit stupid when I realised I hadn't put the tent poles in with the tent. Ended up sleeping in the 944, luckily I had the brewing gear so could make coffee.[:)]
Cheers,

Fred - you're right - thats far too far for a day out, and no, I haven't as I haven't really been trying. Had lots of enquiries but not sure I want to sell as I can't find anything to buy.

Nick,
Rita and I will be coming to support the event but my car is hardly show worthy. If you're looking to bolster the number of cars then I could also bring the project, which should have re-furb'd wheels and some bodywork by then.

See you there.

Hi Nick
There's no excuse for anyone who normally comes to the NE region club meets not put their car in for the concours, even if its only to make the numbers up, as you deserve all the help you can get. Then there's all the people who don't normally make the club meet .........
After all, it's a 'show and shine' for fun, not the world cup!!
Anyway, you can put mine in, but I won't have time to wash it, as I'm hoping to be on car parking duty again!!
Regards
Alan Burton

Nick,

After selling my Boxster S last year hopefully I'll be back in the fold soon with a 996, if all goes to plan I'd love to come along.
