Just a heads up;

The return of the R7 Yorkshire Porsche Festival will this year be held at the beautiful Sewerby Hall and Gardens which are situated north of Bridlington in a dramatic cliff top position with spectacular views.

Generously supported by Porsche Centre Hull who are delighted to host an Exclusive Manufaktur event, the day will celebrate Porsche Icons of Cool and pay homage to the heritage, design and style of the 1960s and early 1970s

In addition to the displays of Icons of Cool and a Concours competition there will be a wide range of food vendors to bolster your own picnics and refreshments, so why not make a day of it with your friends, at this gorgeous location with breath-taking views out to sea.

Whether you are a petrolhead, a Porsche lover or enjoy browsing some of the finest Porsche range, this event is perfect for you.

Please follow this link if you would like to find out more or to purchase your tickets, which must be bought in advance.

I know this is quite a trek, so I wondered if there would be any other R3 members interest in attending this new event before planning a scenic drive down, via Staithes, Whitby and Scarborough to Bridlington.

Please note the drive will take roughly 3 hours from Newcastle, so some may even prefer to book a hotel and make a weekend of it nearer to the event before committing to purchasing your tickets.

Regards

Greg & Deb.

HI

Jill and I will be attending this event; I have the tickets. Also interested in possible overnight, so if there are plans or hotels in the sights, please let me know, and I can book etc. Cheers

Short update Jill and I are stopping at the potted lobster in Bridlington on sat night with Martin and his mrs . Intending to do a drive from thirsk area to Bridlington coastal type run on the Saturday if anyone else wants to join they are welcome

Hi Mark, I looked at the Lobster Pot, but it only had single rooms left at the time, having used the Marston's chain quite a few times before I've always found them to be spot on.

Hi Greg, Cheers. I've used those inns myself I agree that they are always decent. I did call them to get the double room as they were not showing up online.

Like the Flat 6 at Goodwood, that weekend doesn't work for us. . .

Otherwise we'd do both 🤣

Have a great time 👍

A couple of us are planning to drive up from the flat 6 show on Saturday evening, so should be at Sewerby Hall in good time on the Sunday. Looking forward to it.

Hi Greg and Deb

Sue and I are already booked.

Looking forward to it - see you all there[:)]

Charles & Sue

Wendy and I are heading down for this now having found ourselves unexpectedly free this weekend.

Doesn't look like there's a group organised heading south so see you down there folks 👍

Hi Greg & Deb, thanks for the heads up - I've just bought my ticket but will be coming from FlatSix on the Saturday night so look forward to seeing you all there.

Regards, Ben

I hope everyone that made the trip in support of R7's Porsche Festival had as much fun as us, we had a brilliant day, apart from a very brief shower, the weather and venue couldn't have been any better, in fact the whole event had a really enjoyable laid back chilled out old school vibe to it.

I have to say, it took Deb & I almost 3 hours before we eventually got the chance to have a proper look around, because we were too busy catching up with so many old friends, so apologies if we missed anyone. Special thanks also to Mark, Jill,Martin & Sue for inviting us to join you for your picnic at the end of the day, nothing better than a great PCGB event to help forge new friendships.

Well done to everyone involved in making this happen it was a really enjoyable day and the Shamrock Experience were brilliant.
