For the last couple of years we have held our new year dinner in Meltons Too in the centre of York after some beer and a guided walk. This year we thought we would offer a change of venue and have put together a package at the 4 Star Waterton Park Hotel (link here) just outside Wakefield. As you can see from their website this is quite a nice setting to have a dinner.

The evening will be on Saturday January 26th and will cost £27 per head plus drinks, see the menu below. We have also been offered a good deal on rooms for the evening at £100.00 for a standard double or twin room or £115.00 in a four poster room or executive double, to include breakfast and use of the hotel leisure facilities, but please not this includes a £40 NON returnable deposit and dinner choices would need to be made in advance, although not yet!

We have provisionally booked a private room for the meal which will be held for the next two weeks, so we need to know if you are interested and have an idea of numbers within that time scale. Given sufficient interest we will confirm the booking and then you can book rooms if you need to.

Hi Mark,

A very nice Hotel, been to a few weddings there over the years. Me & the wife would like to go. We are going to London sometime in January, so hope it does not clash?

Echo that. Good company and new friends. Thought the hotel staff looked after us very well over dinner too. And green fields in the morning! How quickly the snow is forgotten - 'til next time.
Thanks to Mark & Carol.
