Hi,

New to the owners club, having previously owned a 987 Cayman S for 6 years & now a 718 GT4.

Looking to attend meetings & events when possible in the future & to share tips & advice with other Porsche owners.

Any advice on quality ppf installers welcomed.

Hi , I’ve just had a 718 GT4 done with APS detailing at silverlink ( Newcastle ). Seems decent to me so far but I’m no expert . I still really struggle to see it as good value , but took the plunge finally after talking to the guys at a demo event at Ferrari a couple of weeks . Lusso detailing is a couple of doors down from them which I think a few Porsche people on here will have also used . If you do call APS ask for Henry or Craig and mention I’ve just had the Python green GT4 done .

Hi thanks, yes know what you mean. I'm just hopeful it's effective as want to keep it spotless. I'll probably opt for front end, sills & rear lower quarter/intakes if I go for it.

My previous Cayman S did pick up a fair few stone chips on the low front end although it was a daily.

Hi Gareth, welcome to the club and R3, although the forum may at first appear a bit antiquated, it's definitely worth checking in and keeping an eye on from time to time, alternatively if you don’t mind filtering through a few emails, it’s easier to subscribe that way hopefully you don’t miss anything that may be of interest.

On the subject of PPF I can also recommend APS, formerly DDB in North Shields, David and his team did a great job previously on a Cayenne I owned then again on my 718 Spyder last year, being black I had the whole car done including the ceramic package which makes it extremely easy to keep clean.

Hope to catch up at an event in the near future.

Greg.

Thank's for the advice. Work commitments rule out tonight but will make future dates when possible.

I'll check out APS, much appreciated.
