Hi All,
Just writing to you in respect of some good news about our Regions tour next year. The Porsche Museum have now confirmed that they will be able to offer the group a guided tour, this lasts an hour but its something that isn’t regularly offered as the number of English speaking guides is very limited. (There will be a small charge for the tour but it will only be 5 or 6 euros per person). As long as everyone brings their PCGB membership cards admission to the museum will be free. The Porsche Museum has also confirmed that we will be able to park at the front of the building by the entrance under the mirrored ceiling. This isn’t common and is always front cover of Porsche Post material!!!!
In addition, on day 1 a friend of EDT, Count Emmanuele Aved de Magnac has confirmed that unless something extraordinary comes up we will be able to visit his chateau (he gives a personal guided tour) we will also be able to line the cars up in front of the building and have our champagne tasting in his Chateau. He is genuine French aristocracy, but more importantly is a really great guy who speaks good English, as does his wife who is also very charming. The chateau is only two miles away from our first nights stay at Source Bleue. Again there will be a small charge for the champagne tasting but it shouldn’t be more than 10 euros or so per person.
Now the reason for this post, we now have 9 of the 12 places confirmed and I know there are quite a few of you thinking about joining us. This tour is very much a one off and I’m sure will be a very memorable experience. If you want to join us we do need commitment from you by the end of October, if we haven’t filled the tour with our region by then we will be offering the opportunity to other regions.
The hotels that we have booked with are now looking for confirmation of numbers, and unless we have confirmed our numbers by the end of November they will not hold the rooms. If you do want to join us on this tour you can either go to www.europeandrivingtours.co.uk and click on the R23 PCGB 2017 tab, or you can give us a cheque at the breakfast meeting at Goodwood on Sunday 30th October 2016.
Details are on the attached document, but if you have any queries or questions about the Tour, then please phone or email us for a chat.
