Question for P-Mac: Register Car?

944 man

Active member
I saw a Turbo in Sheffield Abbeydale Sainsburys car park this evening, and wondered whether it was a register car? It appears to have been a '90, in Guards Red and it looked to be very clean.

The registered number was BSK 686. It rings a bell, but I cant recall why... I parked behind it briefly and received a number of double takes and bemused looks. [:D]

Hmmmmmm, not sure how to reply to this! [8|]

That reg is on my register, and it's a Sheffield car. A turbo, in the Club since 1997. And, it's listed as a Zermatt car.

Now, I know you have been around the cars for a long time, and assume know the difference between a red and a silver 944? [:D] I'm guessing this is yet another case of either the data being entered wrongly sometime since 1997, or a change of car details we were not advised of.

There are moves to make the car details on the Club database open to owners checking, and correcting or updating, them themselves. It's obviously got to be secure, but it would be a huge help!

Perhaps the owner has upgraded their car? Not uncommon with Porsche 944 owners and it is a cherished number after all.
