Hi there , are the navy coloured seats a pair in the same colour ?...... also are they straight bolt on to the 944 standard seat runner and electrical connectors for the driver's electric seat ??

Do your oval dash vents hold their position at any angle ? ( as mine keeps dropping when i have them in the higher position ! )

cheers.............Mike

Both the navy seat are same colour, they remain on there original runners. And bolt in the same way the 944 ones come out. The electrics is easy, just cut off your 944 plug wire 2 the wires on 996 seat and then re plug like normal. You also use your 944 seat belt recivers.

Both seats are electric and even if yours arnt the wires should be there.

Vents, what do u mean? Are we talk about the main vent next 2 the clocks? Cas that is fully functional

ok so the electrical connectors on the navy seat is not the same as the 944 ones then and I will need to rewire the connection...is that what you mean ?

re- vent, yes it the two main ones on the oval dash .

Seats, yes, think its 2 or 3 wires, join the wires 2 the same 2 wires and leave the others will
Check under the seats and can take a pic, MIT even have one from when I put them in.

Sorry the vents? You say 2 do you mean ones at each end or the big centre one? If we're talking about the centre one, mine works. Can't think what would be the cause off the issue you have.

yes its the main one in the oval dash.....when putting the sliders to the upwards postion the sliders will not hold that position (I guess because of wear and tear , i.e the mounting point as lost its grip on the attach point ).

thanks for the info .

Interesting - you are selling some 996 seats which have been modified to fit a 944. How did you modify them? I thought that 996 seats didn't fit 944's at all, but didn't know why.

Oli.

I think you just replace or modify the runners. There are a few guides online if you google it.
Only downside is you have to remove the gas strut that adjusts the height, so they are no longer adjustable.

I never found a how 2 guild. Even on rennlist it's believe they don't fit. Well they do. And it's very easy.

I wrote a how 2 on another forum I use.

Basicly the runners remain. I just used a differnt part off the runner 2 fix to floor with. Think I only need 2 drill one bolt hole out off 3 per runner.

I removed the gas strut Cas it catches the floor when sliding the chair back past the shallow well. There point less on are cars as you don't need the hight adjustment, which is extra 50mm up and fillwards which at 5,10" made me feel 2 close 2 windscreen. The gas Srut could be re wield in a slightly higher place. Or you could pack up the seat base 2 allow clearance.

Removed they sit same high as 944 seats.

Oringal Seat belt retanters are used
And the wiring 4 the electric tilt is easy

Seats are simpler in hight and width
