Many of us with or without the spare wheel option choose to carry a Silverline tyre repair kit in our cars -just in case. [

Auto 4 in Nottingham are now offering an alternative kit called Permacure Vulcanising Technology. Developed in the States, it's a bit more expensive than Silverline, but is said to offer a permanent repair rather than just a get-you-home.

I'd be a little circumspect about leaving it as an enduring puncture solution in such high performance models as Macans, but no doubt it'll be fine if you just want to continue on your journey in safety.

Clive
