PSE exhaust switch back to front

Hi folks,

Recently bought a 997 C2S and really love it! I have a question though about the PSE exhaust when I start the car the light on the PSE switch is on, however the exhaust is actually in quiet mode. Then when I press the button, the light goes off and the exhaust switches to loud mode, anyone know why the light seems to be confused?

Is it the same logic as the A/c light? I.e the a/c is off when the light is on. If it's like that on start up then that seems most likely. My C2S had sport chrono so no separate PSE switch.

Quite! It seems the assumption is that you would always want the a/c running - which I suppose in some countries you would (this not being one of them, sadly)

Turns out you are spot on! I had her in for another job today at Sports & Classic in Knutsford and Mike said he believed the light being on means quiet mode is active and light off means bypass is turned on! Very un-German as far as logic goes.
