Potential Owner calling!

Evening all,

I'm currently seriously looking at a 911SC that's for sale up here in Norn Iron.

Can anyone point me in the direction of someone that could carry out an independant inspection of the car for me? I'm not averse to taking it to the Porsche dealer in Belfast, but I'd rather have someone who specialises in the older models.

Thanks, and maybe see you around,

Patrick.

Hi Patrick,

The Best guy to talk to up there is George MacMillan. I dont have his number to hand - but his email is gmcmillan@btinternet.com

He worked in Agnews for many years - and a lot of our club members bring their cars up to him from the South.

Alan.

Thanks a lot Alan - I think I'll get in tough with him and see what he can do.

Thanks again,

Patrick.

No problem... so an old SC he's probably the man in Norn Iron..

Arrrgh! Turmoil!

Just test driven a '86 Carrera so now I'm torn between that and the SC!

The Carrera's probably a bit "nicer" in every way, except for the price, and the lack of a huge history file. Looks like I'll have to dig a bit deeper into the kids school fund!

Well it depends on what you plan to use it for I guess :) The SC is pretty special - but for me the ultimate 911 is a widebodied turbo Carrera... But maybe thats because it was my favourite toy car as a kid !

They do say the price of a porsche is determined by its service history - so I would hope the carreras price reflects the cars short history... Either way, the old rule applies - buy the best Porsche you can afford..

Hi Patrick.
Firstly, yep George is your man,
Secondly , depending on your budget , i know that George will point you in the right direction.
I know the membership secretary has a nice 964 for sale.
