To keep our forests upright and not lying down, the Supplementary Regulations for the 'Porsches o'er t'Wolds' Tour on 20 July is now at 'www.brookenby.org.uk'. This should save masses of bits of paper flying around our overstressed postal service!

This event is co-promoted with Region 4.

A quick update on the forthcoming tour of the Lincolnshire Wolds in July, co-promoted by R4 and the 912 Register.

The event will take place on 20 July and will start from the Riseholme College, University of Lincoln and finish at the Petwood Hotel, Woodhall Spa where a three course meal will be provided for those who pre-book before 1 July 2014. Entry fee is £5.00 per car for all PCGB members. The 120 mile route is on mainly B and C class roads, but the odd A class will also be included.

1. "˜Porsche o'er t'Wolds' is classed as a "˜Touring Assembly' as defined:
a. "A Touring Assembly is an event organized with the primary object of assembling tourists at a point settled beforehand"¦Pre-arranged points may be provided for in the events itinerary but no limits of speed may be laid down, nor any requirement to visit pre-arranged points, other than a requirement to report at a final point not later than a specified time"¦" (RACMSA Ltd Regulations, Nomenclature and Definitions (B) "˜Touring Assembly')

2. All drivers are to be in possession of a valid RTA licence allowing them to drive on public roads. All cars are to be taxed and insured for the period of the event. These may need to be produced at signing on.

3. There is no minimum age limit for passengers but UK laws regarding the carriage of infants in safety seats are to be adhered to.

4. The start will be from the "˜Riseholme Hall University Campus Lincoln' where a free 'breakfast' will be available. The first car will leave at 1001 followed by the remaining cars at one minute intervals to prevent a procession and the "˜bunching-up' of cars.

5. The Road Book and further items will be handed out at signing on which will take place in the Main Building. All drivers and navigators must be signed on by 0900.

6. There will be a Drivers' Briefing in the Administrative Building at 0900 at which all drivers and navigators must attend. Cars will depart from the start in the order of registration and "˜signing on' on the day.

Greater details and formal regulations (ASRs) are to be found on the tour's designated website: www.brookenby.org.uk.
