yes it is. Roy Parker is a very active club member in our region - Lancs and Cumbria. I called in there yesterday after a quick tour of the Lakes and even though it was Saturday afternoon a salesman was more than happy to take my order for a very modest part to pass on tho the parts department on Monday. My car was supplied by them new and both previous owners had it serviced there and rated them highly. I used Bolton to save the extra half an hours drive - which was cancelled out by it having to go back 3 times to fix problems that weren't there before the service...

Hi Rob,
Thanks for the reply.
That's very interesting (Roy Parker) that is, as my 93 C2 964 was originally bought from them new. It was serviced by them for the first 5 years before being sold in 1997 to a Mark Parker (no relation, i don't think) from Bolton, who owned it for 9 years, before I became the proud owner last year. I wonder how far back OPC's keep records on these cars. Mark Parker had had the car regularly serviced at Stratstone in Wilmslow. When i contacted them about the car they weren't intersted. They said, quiet matter of fact " the history of the car stays with the previous owner". I'll give P&P a call !

I phoned P&P in Kendal and they were very helpful, in fact they restored my opinion of OPC's (although you may be right in what you say K300). Susequently i phoned Wilmslow who on this occassion were also very helpful to the extent they kindly put me in contact with the previous owner of my 964 (with their permission!). So credit where credit is due and naturally it all comes down to the individual/individuals whom you deal with!

I think you've got it there. When I bought my car, it had been previously serviced at Reading, who quite happily ran through it's entire history of work for me.
Still have my doubts though about an OPC who employ engineers who can't find the service book
