Well Gents .. I made it back and still buzzing from the visit to the museum ! It was absolutely fantastic ! My workmate Flanagan who isnt interested in cars really enjoyed it !

My camera isnt the best but the pics give you an idea... If you get a chance then go ! €8 entry.... cheap as chips...!

Porsche #1 .. Flanagan says "For a yoke them boys knocked up in a shed in 1948 it looks class" Same as a Boxster in fairness !

I forgot to add in these..
A prototype 911 which was a full 4 seater .. Ferry Porsche decided that a 2+2 would interfere with the lines less so it was shelved !

That looks amazing! I really need to make that trip one day.

I remember that Boxter concept from when I was a kid. I think they lost a lot of its character between the prototype and production.

And that 924GTR...oh my. [8D]

Am I right in thinking this has been in the workshop for a few years now? It definitely was when a friend took some pictures for me a while back and they told him the same story (I posted them here, is must have been 2-3 years ago now), and I've not seen it in any general pics of the museum since. Fingers crossed this car gets used once its rebuilt, I'd love to see it at Goodwood or similar.

Am I right in thinking this has been in the workshop for a few years now?

Dont think so, was certainly on display when in the main museum when I visited in Sept '11.

Agree the museum is a must for any Porsche fan and not too much of a detour when traveling to other parts of Europe, autobahn is a hoot too.[]

Porsche club members get a good discount when you show your membership card when buying tickets. Me and my family got tickts 50% cheaper last summer when we visited there.
