Porsche Independents in Edinburgh?

After many years of OPC only servicing I have decided they are becoming too expensive for my 2013 981 Boxster. It is likely it will be my last Porsche (hopefully for many years yet) so OPC servicing for trade in value no longer a consideration.
Just had the 4 year service completed by them, but the last straw was a quote for 1 Hour Diagnostic work on a possible alarm fault of £175. Plus whatever parts and time then required to fix it. The fault code is C13212 something to do with communication with the alarm siren.
Does anyone have any idea what that means? For repair can anyone recommend an auto-electrician or should I go to Brian Miller or David Phillips Autos, or ?????????. Thoughts appreciated.

Many Thanks
David

Speak to Brian - he won't bullsh1t you, if he can't sort it he'll put you in contact with the autoelectrician he uses

David

I've used all three; OPC, Brian and David. As per Clyde, I'd ask the latter two for advice

Only benefit of keeping the service through OPC is you might just get a goodwill claim if something went wrong. Audi footed 70% of the bill when my gearbox went phut and the car was 7 years old. They said they did this as I'd had it maintained by them. It was still an enormous bill!

Having said that you wouldn't have to get EVERYTHING done by the OPC

Let us know how you get on

Richard
