can any one tell me if the immobliser sticks are still avalible due to both mine beening a bit tempremental some time or is it cheeper to get a new alarm/immobliser fitted [:D]

Yes you can still get them from a Porsche dealer. If you have the original paperwork with the serial number they can get another one made

Alternatively the actual system was originally made and installed by http://www.hamilton-palmer.co.uk/ and they can make a copy from one of your originals

I still have one brand new one. I used to have about ten, but theyve wandered over the years. How much do the replacements cost from Porsche?

lancater porsche said they are £35 plus they need the car and the code for the imobliser box to code the new stick didnt say how much that wood be [:(]

I changed the socket, they are also available from Hamilton Palmer (Google them), fixed my intermittent function completely. New one was easy to fit, old one hard to remove - obviously, I suppose. I found it easiest in the end to cut off the outer flange of the old socket very carefully with a craft knife, and push it into the column housing.

ORIGINAL: pauly

My key occasionaly needs a wiggle, I wonder if it's the socket that wears rather than the key ?.
