The My Porsche Connect software has recently undergone an update. As a result, it is no longer possible via a laptop to amend any details held on the Porsche Connect, with the exception of certain parts of an individuals profile. Attempting to use a laptop, simply provides the information that My Porsche Connect is only available via the mobile app. Previously had the Porsche Connect app on my mobile, although I only used the laptop access. When I attempted to reactivate the Porsche Connect app on my Samsung Galaxy S8 android mobile phone, it advised that a upgrade was needed. However, unable to install the upgrade or the latest version from Google Store as I am advised that the Porsche Connect app is NO LONGER COMPATIBLE with my mobile phone. Excuse the Trump-like capitals, but it seems to me that the Porsche AG have no right to force every Porsche vehicle owner on to Apple Carplay and Apple mobile phones. What used to work on an android mobile phone should STILL FUNCTION, especially when there is ZERO alternative to using the Porsche Connect mobile app.
Porsche Cars Great Britain and the Porsche Club UK should urgently refer these matters back to Porsche AG. The Porsche Pro at my local OPC says there is nothing further that can be done. IN order to use the Porsche Connect app, I will need to get myself a more modern Samsung Galaxy mobile phone. NO WAY!
