Porsche build certificate.

I popped into my local OPC (Wolverhampton) on Tuesday to inquire about winter tyres and also asked about these certificates and was told that Porsche Cars GB had stopped issue the FOC to PCGB members on 13th December. So I'd just missed the boat. ??
All they could do was read me a list of option codes for me to decode online.
Shame as it would have been good to keep with all my other Porsche related paperwork.
in other words the person who chose and paid for the options from new.
Seems daft to me , and I'm sure most people wouldn't give a s#%t who knew what options they chose on a car 10 years ago.

Poor customer service is my opinion and annoying to say the least, still my car is due a " major” service next and Silverstone Porsche won’t be getting my business. ??

Even more annoying as I put my forms into the dealership on the 19th October.majorporsche said:I was told today when visiting a dealer that all dealers were informed not to process after 7 th December 2018 and that there would be no more. Hard to believe / accept really, surely there would have been a bigger out cry here and elsewhere. Seems it's not only the FOC ones.
So annoying and part of the reason I joined the club to be honest.

Google " VIN Look Up - Full Options of your Car 1980 on"
The sad thing is the club will suffer now that the service has been withdrawn as it was a great tempter to join the club!
So why is this such such a desirable certificate to have? Does it add value to the car if items are missing? I'd say precisely the opposite - it'll cause confusion. Even if items aren't missing, it cannot be relied upon.

There are far more relevant reasons to join the club than getting a free piece of paper that is sometimes inaccurate.
How about the camaraderie of it members and being a part of the Porsche community for starters?
If members really want a CofA then I am sure that you can still contact Porsche GB and pay for the service.
Could you identify the Porsche centre that printed off the entire history of your car as I have lost my service history and Reading Porsche refused to print me off any copies due to data protection. Asked them to delete previous owners details but still drew a blank.
