Top link wearing rear 9" wheels on the front as well. Rear wheels are the nice ones from the set

The £10k one appears to have a different colour door and its missing side mouldings on front wings/rear quarters on most photos.

The £5k one I've probably considered a dozen times ...[:-] , but as our house is on the market with possible loss of my double garage it wouldn't be a wise buy right now .

This was a nice example in the USA a few weeks ago

Cheers, Paul

1st has had, I believe, recent sills & paint.

The 2nd one will invariably find people put off by the mileage - rightly or wrongly.

It's a strange one. I have a white Turbo S with black sports interior. I'd actually prefer silver rose with burgundy interior! I really like the burgundy interior colours. Especially pinstripe.

Second one is/was rusty - those pics were from the previous owner (in Kent). He advertised it on the PCGB website. I had quite a few long chats to him & he sent me loads of pictures a few months back. (If anyone's interested I might still have them). From what I could see it needed sills and a full respray as there was rust bubbling in quite a few areas. The interior is beautiful.

I think it was more like a 2k car back then, needing another 2-3k to bring the bodywork back to life - I passed on it [:D]

If it has had sills and paint, then it must be quite recently - and not shown in those pictures.

I'm sorry to say this, but I really couldn't live with the interior colour [:'(]

The plastic trim has browned on both and it isnt nearly as loud as it once was. I have had two cars with this trim and I quite like it. They all seem to have turned a Dr Marten oxblood colour now which is as brown as it is red.

Id go for the second one. personally.

As the owner of the cheaper option
And now having sold two of my collection to make way for this one
I may well decide to keep it and completely strip the body to steel and carry out a full body and mechanical restoration
Or sell it and with the two i have sold i may buy a 924carr gt lhd or rhd
A dream would be to drop the silver rose off at werks no 1 Zuff and let Porsche resto loose on it
But who knows?
The colour? The time has come to it, the interior is marmite but other than thd odd special requests allowed this iz how they are
But i personally love the colour combo distinctive
Anothe thought is to proffessionally modify it to max the bhp and see what the v max would be
The raw materials are there it is the 944 equiv of a super sport
Its a real hoot to drive now
Shall i invite views
What do i do?
Sell
Restore mech n body to as new
And enjoy
Proffessionally mod it to chase 200mph!!
Buy a 924 carr gt
If sold the owner i would look for would be one who would cherish its history and be a suitable custodian

Id go for the second one. personally.

Trust me Simon, you wouldn't...not after you looked in the door shut vents

It would make a good donor for a silver rose with a knackered interior

Oh dear.

obviously this is all just my opinion based on the detailed pics I saw, and feedback from the then owner.

but

it's a 218k car that needs sills and a full body resto. After it's had that it's still a 218k car. How much will it be worth then? deduct the resto cost and I don't think you're left with much.

if the sills had been sound I'd have bought it. (I speak as an owner of a 233k 944 with rusty bits..I'm not scared of mileage)

mechanically it may be in top condition - it's certainly very clean.

Dont misunderstand me Ed - Ive accepted that its a poor car. Id presumed that because it was a members car that itd be in sound condition and with an appropriate price.
