Hey Porsche Club..
Looking to get some advice/help. I have been trying to get Winter Tyres for my Porsche 911 Carrera S. Does anyone have any suggestion on who has N Rated Winter Tyres?
Also, does anyone drive their Porsche 911 Carrera during the Winter months when there's ice/salt on the roads? Especially as our Winters in the UK aren't as cold as they used to be?

try eBay for a set of used Winters plus the usual places such as 911 forums etc. The other option is to go to an OPC and buy a set but they'll probably be very expensive.

Not a 911 but I drive my 718 GTS all year round with no issues, just make sure that you wash the wheel arches out at each wash and try and wash as much crud out from around the engine compartment. In the spring, it would be worth taking the wheel arch liners out and clear out the crud from behind them.

Hope it helps a little.

I’ve been looking for a set of winter tyres for mine. No one makes 305/30R19 but 295/30 should fit on the rims for wide body models.

I bought some wheels & tyres locally from Facebook Marketplace and will use up the part worn tyres they came with before sourcing some winters.

This coming winter will be the 10th that my MY2010 987.2 Cayman will experince, during that time it's never been garaged and I drive it all tghrough winter. The tyres for winter are the same tyres used during the remainder of the year, Michelin Pilot Sport. Obviosly during those years I've had to replace the tyres. My Cayman was recently up on a ramp for a geometry review, and the specilast commented on how clean the car was for it's years.
All that said I don't have another non Porsche second car, so I have to drive my porsche, and am happy and comfortable to do so. Hope this helps.

Depending on year, model and wheel size, it's worth checking with Michelin as they have a Pilot Alpin winter tyre that was N rated, certainly when I had one of my earlier Carrera S models.

Why N rated? Are they that much better that N rated tyres are worth the premium price? That seems to limit your choice in a small seasonal market.
