The intermittent rich running when hot, poor idle , missing , stalling etc problem update - today took it for a run all ok , switched off when hot restarted after 10 mins and surging again , rich etc.I squeezed the hose which runs from throttle body over inlet manifold and back to the throttle body and it cleared and idled and ran ok.Does this indicate TPS or something else

Something else TPS only looks at what throttle position it is at, have you checked the internal "barn door" flap in the AFM ?

A dodgy track would only cause hesitency when accelerating etc. I think those symptoms if caused by the AFM would be because it was massively out of calibration and would most certainly be permanent. If it were the AFM causing those symptoms I'd say it was terminal news for the AFM.

Not sure which hose you squeezed, but I'd be investigating that. Is it a breather or part of the venting system which connects to the idle stabilisation valve? Could be part or even fully blocked?

As its intermittent, electrical is likely, possible damaged wires to temp sensor TPS or AFM, or plugs not properly connected.

Double checked and the hose I squeezed is the breather hose from the oil seperator to the throttle body , stripped out AFM ,barndoor seems fine , throttle ok butterfly bit dirty so cleaned but all seems ok.Didn't open up AFM , it hasn't been opened before either.
Took for a run all ok left for 15mins and little erratic idle when restarted but cleared with a blip of the throttle.
A mystery ?
