Hi,
I've recently been searching the small ads and found a 1972 911 S RHD in a colour that the seller describes as ''Celebrity Pink''. Now, I've never seen this colour in the flesh before, but it jogged a memory of a similar-hued car, as photographed for the early-Eighties book, ''Great Marques: Porsche'' by Chris Harvey. It's a duck-tailed 911 2.7 Carrera Targa, fitted with impact bumpers from 1974, reg LOV 2R. From the grainy pic in the ad and the one in the book, the hues are all but identical.
So my question is - was pink an official Porsche colour in the early-Seventies? What was its correct factory designation, and, even better, paint code?
Thanks in advance,
Iain
