Following an article i read in 911&PW, I booked my 993 in with JZMachtech, to have a Roock exhaust installed, and the basic ECU remap package... and I had also heard Matt Sutton's silver C4 fitted with this exhaust system, so i was sold on the idea.

The exhaust does not enhanced performance, BUT the sounds is unbelievable... thoroughly recommend it..

The "chipping" and airbox have made a nice difference in the engines' responsiveness....

what next?

good question - I've reached much the same point and anything else seems to be big money (3.8 conversion, etc. etc).

I went with the RS clutch and flywheel, which is OK but if I had to use it every day the novelty would probably wear off.

Do post if you come up with a good idea!

I currently run the following on a 1994 C2.

enlarged throttle body, KN filter, Milltek cross over pipes, 100 cell cats, sports boxes, RS flywheel and clutch. All fitted by AMD over time with umpteem remaps. The final figures are a consistent 306bhp and 260 odd lb/ft.

The throttle body, sports boxes and remap went from 272bhp to 293bhp. The cross over and cats added the other 10bhp.

I know Geoff Everett (ex AMD) has a members car in his workshop on Friday. C2S Varioram to be remapped - expected 295 bhp. However, I know he has been developing a modification to the std 993 cat to remove the need for the reasonably expensive cross over/100 cell route. He is fitting this mod to the car on Friday and is hopign for an increase close to the one I got when I changed to 100 cell cats. The details of the mod are not forthcoming but I should hear either from Geoff or the owner of C2S regarding the results as I'm in contact with both. I'll post any news.

regards

Peter
