A week ago I was cruising down the M1 and nearing the junction with the A43 when i had an over temperature warning come up which then cleared and so I pulled off and checked in case something had blown onto the front and blanked an intake, nothing amiss so I drove to the Silverstone centre for a diagnostic, this was done and an intermittent sensor fault identified, the car was booked in for a few days later to allow time for them to get the replacement parts and I drove on, to return midweek, the repair was done but the PET diagram shows a control module internal to the casing and not individual sensors, all very easy to access with no need to remove the transaxle but it makes me curious, if an individual sensor would have been replaced or a module. Does anyone here have the necessary expertise on the PDK?
Not of great concern as it was covered under warranty and drives brilliantly but I am curious.
One thing I was impressed with at the Silverstone Centre was that before the car went into the workshop customers can now opt to take a look underneath on a lift in a separate bay which is normally used for vehicle alignment, the first time that I had looked underneath this car and very pleased with the overall condition.
