PCM2 MR12VOLT Bluetooth Interface - any knowledge?

Am considering one of these for our 03 996 Targa as I’d like Bluetooth audio play from my phone and would like to get rid of the ageing Parrot car kit.

does anyone have any knowledge or experience of these products? I have scanned YouTube and have watched various videos - it seems relatively straight forward (until it doesn’t work first time!)

thanks

Mr 12 volts web site is very useful for manuals and help ironically I've just sold one on ebay!
Regards Gordon.

Yes, Gordon, I was watching it on EBay out of curiosity. Was gutted to have already bought a new one but went that approach to make return rights easier if it didn’t work. I have looked at the website and YouTube info but it felt missing small but important details. Before I wade into the dashboard I will circle back and revisit everything available

Many thanks for replying to my post

Regards
Mark

Hi Mark
I was looking through a draw saw a box with the Mr 132 Volt kit stuck it on ebay and within an hour sold!
It was installed in one of my Cayennes behind the head unit and worked well and yes much better options are available now high-end Chinese units do everything well inc apple Carplay or Android, times have moved on quite a way
Regards Gordon.

Interesting, Gordon, thank you. I struggled to find much 996/PCM2 friendly without changing the head unit - which I want to retain. Truth be know I just want to play my podcasts and take Google maps audio through the main speakers, and tidy the cabin up - currently the car has a Parrot kit installed, along with an old iPod interface set up. I want to declutter a bit.

Thanks again
Mark
