Just a reminder of the forth coming event at Knockhill on Saturday 24th June .
The annual PCGB Track day is filling up fast 50 (thus far ) and if you intend taking part I would urge you to book up now as they are getting close to a reserve list .
On the PATH side of the event we have some 50+ owners signed up via the Knockhill web site for the static display .We need more owners to commit to what will be a great day out with track action to see and view the many cars on display and take part in the parade laps .It will help if you preregister but if you turn up on the day you will still get in for free car and 1 passenger .
[FONT=calibri"]Online Registration Form[FONT=verdana, geneva"] add your details and remember the Supercar car day as well you can register for that

Brian,
Are we meant to receive any passes or other vital information from Rory at Knockhill? I haven't received anything in the post. I recall we received stuff in the post for last year's supercar event.
Cheers, Melinda

No ...You just turn up on the day and you will be issued a wrist band to get into the pits area and drivers lounge for FREE tea and coffee and excess to the owners enclosures. Arrive any time after 9am park up in paddock 2 that is the one on the right as you enter the circuit then you will be directed into your appropriate display area in your case in the 911 section .

I'm going to pop up to this and bring my wee boy for a look round.

Did I read correct that's it's free admission if I bring the 911 ?

Correct if you turn up in a Porsche FREE entry for driver and 1 passenger .You will of course need to park up in the dedicated 911 section and there is the opportunity to take your car round for a couple of parade laps at lunch time .

Brian,

Sounds like a well organised event at Knockhill on Saturday.

As a regular PCGB track day participant, I shall be interested to see how the PATH event integrates with the normal track day programme. I shall certainly be having a browse among the show cars during the day. The PATH participants should also enjoy seeing Porsches driven as they are designed to be driven.

Good luck and I'll catch up with you for a chat on the day.

A BIG thanks to all who supported todays event at KH by turning up for the PATH side of it we had 145 cars attend in extremely wild windy weather .I believe the track side was also well attend with a reserve list which attracted 60 cars , as KH is the only track event the club run in Scotland glad to see it was well attended .
This is the first of this static show and I am sure it will grow from strength to strength year on year. Without you members of all the clubs and private individual owners that attended it cannot take place .
The Show and Shine went well with some 25 owners taking part and a huge thanks to KH who put up the prizes of cups and Auto Glym cleaning kits . The standard was very high and a lot of people had obviously but a lot of effort into their cars .
The overall winner was Melinda Evans in her Red 911 1987 Carrerra Cab a excellent choice ,some more cleaning products to keep it shiny Melinda .
Sorry I did not get round to talking to all members who came along I was rather busy [:)]

Brian,

What a great event! Not only was there a record entry for the track day participants, but it was great to see such a excellent variety of cars on show at the Path event.

I did try and track you down during the day for a chat, but unfortunately I was unsuccessful. You were obviously very busy elsewhere at the times I was looking out for you.

Thanks for your post on my Cayman thread, and also the photo. I had a great time with my new 718. I completed over 60 laps and had 6 passengers sit with me throughout the day. All were impressed with 718, and not one complained about the engine sound!

I shall look forward to returning to Knockhill again next year.

Brian

an excellent event and as BJ says above you didn't stop all day, despite some pretty awful weather, keeping things moving like clockwork, making it a success and enjoyable for everyone attending.

thanks and looking forward to the EK event in August.
